South Beach Wine & Food Festival... Definitely one of my favorite times of the year!
For those of you who don't know what the festival is:
The Food Network & Cooking Channel's South Beach Wine & Food Festival is a national, star-studded, five-day destination event showcasing the talents of the world’s most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities.
Hosted by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Florida International University (FIU), the Festival benefits FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center. Each year, more than 1,200 students and volunteers gain invaluable real-world experience with the Festival – which serves as an interactive educational platform for the future leaders of the hospitality industry. To date, the Festival has raised more than $26 million for the School.
The events I attended this year were the Wine Spectator Trade Day at the Grand Tasting Village and the Family Ice Cream Social at the Loews Hotel in Miami Beach.
The Grand Tasting Village event featured hundreds of drink and food stations with everything included in your entrance ticket fee. The Ice Cream Social had ice cream and sweets from famous shops around Miami also with everything included in the entrance fee.
