Borrowed From the Boys

Androgynous fashion was made famous by Coco Chanel in the 1920s when she decided to give a big FU to societal norms. Chanel left an irrefutable effect on the fashion world and empowered women - both through her designs and personal style - to choose their identities and decide who they wanted to be.

Fashion was no longer centralized around how a man wanted a woman to dress, but rather, how a woman wanted to dress herself. Just like most art, the best trends emerged during times of distress and desperation. AKA I can’t wait to see what the incredible designers of our generation produce during this *turbulent* time. (I’m being so politically correct right now, it hurts).

So ladies, go forth, steal your boyfriend’s/brother’s/dad’s favorite sweater, pair it with some loose ripped jeans, a bomber, and sneakers, and go be a badass. Or, just be Kourtney Kardashian and look dope in a tailored suit.
